Me too. That's why I license everything here Creative Commons. It's the conversation thing that really gets me though. I wish it was all connected. LIke you said, one big discussion.

Since I'm mostly interested in disseminating a message rather then monetizing my blog - I'm happy to publish my articles on Facebook Notes & Google Buzz.

As you mentioned there is no interoperability though between these platforms. I could have three seperate discussions going, on my blog, facebook, and Google. I would love if there would be a way to have one big discussion instead.

To me, the two big problems are:
1) Buzz as another place to read your twitter updates. It may be a better place, or a more integrated place, but I still have ALREADY READ NEARLY EVERYTHING ON BUZZ before I even click it. This may get better if Buzz becomes a twitter-killer or something.
2) Fragmentation of the conversation, which you hit on. It's like Christmas with your family. You get asked what you've been up to about THREE THOUSAND SEPARATE TIMES and have to re-hash the same old story over and over again to different people in different places. UGH.

Right now I don't read Buzz, because it was too much noise, and I don't have a fancy phone to post pictures from and all that malarky. I expect that Buzz will become more widely used and unique uses will evolve and it will eventually probably be awesome. Not yet, for me though.

remembered i have had one issue with privacy, but i don't blame google (i like the auto-add contact feature).

i'm awkwardly not really in contact with many of my friends from when i was in high school, but one saw my tweet about fliers i put up about a lost dog with another's cell number on it (hoping he'd get lots of annoying calls). he recognized the number, and none of my old friends are known for having tact, the ability to mind their own business, or keeping secrets.

but that was my fault. i wanted to share it with GC friends so they could see how boring and pathetic my life has become since we parted ways, which of course meant using twitter since they're all on it and none of my floridian friends are.

Yeah, I'm on your side with the privacy thing. Maybe a generational issue where we've grown up basically sharing everything about us except for the super-important stuff (bank accounts, SSNs, etc.). I'm not as paranoid as a lot of people are. Maybe to a fault even. I think I probably should be a bit more concerned with what data on myself I'm sharing.

i got sick of reading the same things twice and not much else, so i quit using it. i think it has a lot of potential, though.

i'd like to be able to use buzz and not twitter, just because that would be one less application open or tab open in my browser. but i think that would require everyone to switch.

also, i agree with your opposition to "the wall." however, i'm not personally concerned with the privacy, though i see why lawyers/doctors are.
